I create hand-painted watercolour building portraits of houses, wedding venues, and places with meaning. Thoughtfully illustrated, each portrait is designed to capture the character, charm, and details that make a building feel truly special.
Whether you’re looking for a unique gift, something personal for your own wall, or a bespoke wedding or event illustration, you’re in the right place. If you don’t see exactly what you need, I’m always happy to chat about custom ideas and commissions.
Custom Building Portraits - Process
-

Pencil sketch draft
I start with a detailed pencil sketch of your chosen building. Once completed, I’ll send it to your for approval.
-

Inking
After approval, I go over the sketch in waterproof ink, I love this stage, adding in all the intricate details and making everything permanent.
-

Watercolour
Finally, I bring the sketch to life with watercolour, highlighting all of the beautiful details, preparing it to be sent to you.
What I’ll need from you
To create your custom painting, I’ll need a few key details:
- The address of the building or location you’d like illustrated.
- Clear, detailed photos showing the perspective you’d like, plus close-ups of any important details.
- Any specific features you'd love included - or things you’d prefer to leave out (I won’t include satellite dishes, power lines, bins, etc.)
- Your chosen portrait size.
- Any deadlines (if applicable) for when you’d like the painting completed.
“I ordered a house portrait as a Christmas gift for my family, and it was an absolute hit! The level of detail was incredible, capturing every feature perfectly. Everyone was amazed by how beautifully it turned out - it truly exceeded all expectations. A big thank you to Rach for her attention to detail and excellent communication throughout the process - it made the whole experience so smooth and enjoyable. This portrait will be treasured for years to come. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a meaningful and unique gift!
